I wonder how much of my fellow Realtors' blah mood is created by the fact that sales are in a slump and how much is a result of real estate seminars beginning with the following comments:
"In this tough market..."
"This slumping real estate market..."
"Homes aren't selling because...."
I understand they want to help and I truly believe that being around other professionals is important to uplift your mood, but often the networking that goes on before these seminars becomes a pity party.
Collective pity is worse than self-pity.
That being said, I will be attending a real estate investing seminar next week. Will let you know what I learn!

Those are some really funny observations Purva. I make sure that my seminars and radio shows begin on a congenial note. You need the audience on your side after all!
True. You want the audience on your side and please, I did not mean to be rude to speakers. You guys do a very good job of uplifting us at difficult times. I'm just whining about how the seminars are advertised and thus the mood we bring to the event.
But please, keep up the good work. I like good speakers. It's a tough job and I'm very inspired by people that do it well.
